The Personal Exemption Amount, or “De Minimis Threshold”, typically would protect all orders crossing into the U.S. with a value of $800 USD or below from import fees and taxes. This guaranteed no additional charges during delivery and a faster processing time at customs. 

While the tariff on Chinese and Canadian-made goods are implemented, the Personal Exemption Amount for low-value products shipped from China or Canada has been removed. Therefore, even shipments valued under $800 USD from China or Canada will subject to duties and taxes.
