What is the personal exemption amount and how will it affect my order?Updated 7 months ago

The personal exemption amount refers to the maximum monetary value of products you can import into your country without being subjected to additional duties, fees, and taxes. 

For Canada, the personal exemption amount is only $20. 

Eight Ounce Coffee has covered these customs while importing into Canada, so our Canadian customers only pay for the product and shipping. 

The personal exemption amount in the U.S. is much higher – $800. While our U.S. customers can enjoy most of our high-quality coffee equipment, large products like some grinders, coffee roasters, and espresso machines may be subject to customs and brokerage fees upon delivery into the U.S. 

Please note that Eight Ounce Coffee is unable to compensate any subsequent fees accrued as a result of customs or brokerage fees.
